How We Meet Your Expectations

At Coates and Associates, our methodology provides you with an individual, personalised approach. ‘We do not have a “one size fits all” model. Right from the outset, we seek to understand you by having an initial no-obligation chat to establish what your goals are and where we can support you. From that initial meeting, your Career Coach will provide you with a program designed to give you clarity and direction. From the agreed date of commencement, you have the same consultant who will work with you to offer you encouragement and assistance along your journey to your goals.

Who is Lena Coates

Lena is unique in the world of coaching due to the diversity of her professional background. Employed in leadership roles, she has the corporate experience via national and international firms. Lena also has over 25 years practice in executive search, coaching, mentoring. Educationally Lena is tertiary qualified in Business, is a Certified Professional Coach in Transformative Coaching accredited through the Coach Masters Academy and the ICF (International Coaching Federation). The ICF is the recognised premier international body for professional coaches. Lena is a ICAE qualified Personal Trainer and combines the philosophies of mental and physical well-being into her methodologies. She knows being mentally fit and physically fit is essential to your overall well-being and performance.

We assess your needs realistically and offer constructive critique, not criticism, to ensure your goals are attainable and your skills are up-to-date, aligned, consistent and correctly targeted to current recruitment trends. You have the same consultant from the start to guide you on your journey. We don’t abandon you. our consultants have all had extensive corporate experiences, combined with coaching skills. We all “have walked the talk” and we understand your career concerns.

We offer three programs

12 MP: The 12-month program is designed for executives who are seeking the next step in their career, a returning expat or have taken a redundancy. The program is designed to evaluate their “career briefcase”, cover letter, resume, LinkedIn profile and “video resume”.

We create a job search strategy and support the introductory and interview process.

Once a position is secured, we are there through the probationary process.
We leave you understanding the journey with a Plan B, to keep returns current.

3MP: The program is targeted to cover 3 months that “kick starts” your job search or coaches you to get career clarity and direction to obtain your career goal or new role. Ideally suited to those seeking a new position as a result of constant company restructures and job uncertainty, retrenchment or redundancy

1PP: This is a “1-hour private power” coaching session for those individuals who require specific coaching or guidance in a particular area or issue.
